RE: RV Person Lift
I put one of the Burr Actuators on our 5th wheel. I adapted it for wheelchair use, although altering it's form is not recommended by the manufacturer.
RE: Wind generator, RV mounted
Here's a picture of my first mounting system for an air x. It's a tip up, pivoting at the top of the sleeper. The sections disassemble in about 5 mintues for stowing. Taller would be better, but sleepers are built fairly light. As an addition to solar panels it's great, but it requires moderate to heavy wind days for the power production to amount to much. Trees and buildings make a huge difference. In the picture, the turbine is so low, the body of the truck caused some turbulence at lower wind speeds.

RE: Is it possible to run a parrallel kit on two inverters
I run a 2000 watt sine inverter. We've run a small room air conditioner on batteries for extended times. It helps a lot to have some panels in the sun assisting voltage levels while running. Nearly half a ton of house batteries on board. Another 240 for starting.
RE: Pride Mobility Scooters
The Jet7 your looking at most likely uses a VSI controller/joystick. They're prone to thermal rollback/shutdown, and generally have a high failure rate in the industry. Kind of pricey replacement cost too. Also, decent deep cycle gel cell batteries are recommended for range and longer service life, but they cannot withstand quick charging. If you want quick charge ability, you'd be better off with AGM deep cycle batteries. The Jet series is being phased out, being replaced by the Select series in general.
The Pride model 1107 (discontinued) was specifically designed to be disassembled for transporting in a more confined space. If you could find a used one around for dirt cheap, it would provide you with what you're looking for. They were fitted with VSI as well as Remote Plus joystick/controller combinations. Finding the better Remote Plus version would be a needle in a haystack.
Good luck.
RE: Boondocking Question
Hey Dave & Nannette,
If it's within your means, carrying a couple more batteries and a small generator offers a lot more options. Personally, I would wire the batteries for switching between the two sets of 2.
